Sleeping Bear Dunes Summer Engagement

Northern Michigan is home to an incredible variety of locations for exploring, with one of the most stunning being the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes National Lake Shore.  Sleeping Bear is located on the Leelanau Peninsula, just west of Traverse City in Empire, Michigan. The diversity is immense, and you are always guaranteed to experience something different each and every time you are here.  From the beautiful wooded landscape, to the barren dunes, to the views over Lake Michigan, there is a little something here for everyone.  No matter home many times I visit Sleeping Bear, each and every photo session is different.

As for this Engagement Photo Session, it was a stunner.  Jen and Michele had never visited Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes.  And when I casually suggested it as an option for this Chicago based couple, they did a little research and said they were headed my way.

We chose to head out into the dunes for the last few hours of light of the day.  We wandered up and down hills, through the valley’s and the peak’s.  And finished with a stunning sunset on the shore 465 feet above Lake Michigan. Jen and Michele, thank you for heading up to visit and enjoy a fun evening in the dunes. I had an absolutely wonderful time with the two of you and cannot wait for your wedding.
