Glen Arbor Sand Dunes Engagement

This Glen Arbor Sand Dunes Engagement session was one for the books.  Sleeping Bear Dunes is always a fantastic place to visit.  The landscape is dramatic, with dunes hovering up to 465 feet above Lake Michigan, beautiful dune, grass, and trees and wooded areas.  This is one of the reasons so many people love to come here for weddings and engagement photos.  When Avery and Gabby decided on coming here for engagement photos, we had no clue we would end up with an incredible storm rolling through, which made for even more dramatic photos.

Just before Gabby and Avery arrived, I was started to get concerned about being rained out.  When they arrived, we decided to hike to the top of the dune to see what the storm was doing.  When we arrived at the top of the dune, we stood there in awe as we watched storm cloud after storm cloud rolling across the lake.  We could clearly see the rain out over the water and behind us.  We decided to head into the dunes for photos and we were rewarded with a beautiful rainbow and incredible sunset.  It was an incredible evening of wandering and getting to know each other better.
