When Sam and Jason met working at a YMCA camp, they were both dating other people and created a great friendship.  Fast forward 5 years: Jason called Sam and asked if she would like to hang out.  Luckily, neither of them were dating someone else.  Because that evening, over ice cream, chicken fingers and beer, they realized they were meant to be together.

After a little long distance relationship, they bought their golden retriever, a house, and Jason proposed to Sam…and of course, Sam said Yes!

We met at the top of Pierce Stocking Drive for an evening of engagement photos.  The goal was to capture some dramatic scenery, which wasn’t a problem given how incredible Sleeping Bear Dunes is, along with a rain storm moving in, we had an amazing evening.  We climbed a few dunes, took in the sites, and actually missed the rain!
