It was a normal camping trip for James as Whitney as they traveled to the Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado.  James stepped away from the campsite for a little bit.  When he returned, he asked Whitney to come with him on a little walk.

As they walked over a ridge, Whitney saw a beautiful site that James had prepared.  As she turned to look at him, he was down on one knee and asked her to marry him.  And she said yes.

Fast forward to their summer vacation in Michigan!  They wanted engagement photos in a location that was similar to the Great Sand Dunes. So we trekked into Sleeping Bear Dunes for a beautiful evening of engagement photos, along with their absolutely enchanting 11 month old.
