Chris is from Michigan and his family has a cottage on Glen Lake near sleeping bear dunes. Mary is from Florida. They met during her senior year at university on a cruise ship in the Caribbean during one of the last nights on the cruise. And that meeting left an impression – so much so that Mary knew Chris was her person after 2 days on a cruise with him!
They exchanged phone numbers, and when Mary had time, she came to Michigan to spend time with Chris…getting to know him better. On a trip when she met his family, she knew she was in love…as was Chris. On a trip to Northern Michigan, and Sleeping Bear Dunes, Chris proposed to Mary and she said yes.
With great excitement and joy, the two were married at the Homestead Resort in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The morning was filled with laughter and fun, the ceremony filled with love and tear, and the reception after…was filled with a lot of toasts, cheers and dancing!
