Northern Michigan is a spectacular area to vacation, and as a result, it is also a gorgeous area for a destination wedding. Petoskey, Charlevoix and Harbor Springs are situation on Lake Michigan on the gorgeous Little Traverse Bay with incredible sandy beaches lined with blue and turquoise waters. The town of Petoskey is filled with quaint shops, incredible bakeries, and great food.

In 2017, Jenny and Ryan flew in from their home in Texas to spend time with Jenny’s family for their yearly vacation in the Harbor Springs area. It was during this vacation that Ryan proposed to Jenny and she said yes! Given their love for the area, it was only natural that this was the location for their wedding.

They chose to have their Northern Michigan Destination wedding at Stafford’s Perry Hotel in Petoskey, overlooking the beautiful bay, on a very warm and toasty September day. Blue skies, blue waters, and the gorgeous gardens at the Perry Hotel were the perfect back drop to celebrate Ryan and Jenny with their family and friends.

The morning was filled with a lot of relaxing time and getting ready preparations….but it was immediately followed up with an incredibly moving wedding ceremony, a beautiful toast by a slightly nervous father of the bride, and a lot of dancing in the outdoor tent area under a beautiful starry sky.
