It was one of those days where you thought you were going to have rain all day during your outdoor wedding and reception on Grand Traverse Bay. But little did we know that each and every time we would step outside for photos or the ceremony, the rain would literally stop! And this is how Amber and Karl’s beautiful wedding unfolded.
Amber and Karl brought their family and friends to Traverse City for a destination wedding…from the southeast Michigan area. The morning was peaceful and calm as Amber and her ladies got ready at the Allure Salon. However, once we returned to Chateau Grand Traverse to get ready, she was ready to go and see Karl!
The rain held off for a beautiful ceremony on the front lawn of the Mission Table Restaurant. As the ceremony ended, Amber said the one photo she really wanted was one on the dock overlooking the bay. Upon reaching the dock, we found that there were two feet of waves in the bay before you could even reach the dock! As a result, the ability to capture the photo looked a little questionable. However, after a brief chat, Amber and Karl made the leap…literally. Amber hoisted her dress and headed right up onto the dock as Karl made the gigantic leap.
And it was so worth capture the photo of the two of them on the dock with the storm moving in. Following the photos, we all headed back to the Peninsula Room to keep dry and celebrate the evening away.
Amber and Karl, I had such a lovely day with the two of you. You were always up for anything! Congratulations on your marriage and I know you will have many more wonderful stories as you move through life together!
